Close-by help when damp keeps returning

Rising damp or something else?

What happens during a Chirk damp survey?
We inspect the affected rooms and the accessible outside elevations, take comparative moisture readings and look for visible defects, salts and patterns. Thermal imaging may help identify cold areas or unusual moisture distribution when conditions are suitable.
You then receive a clear explanation of the probable cause and the priority order for repair. That may be straightforward maintenance, improved ventilation, localised treatment or a larger waterproofing scheme.
Work designed to last
Successful damp repair depends on stopping the moisture source and using materials compatible with the wall. Simply applying waterproof paint or replacing the visible finish can delay drying and allow the problem to return. We specify preparation and finishing as part of the repair rather than as an afterthought.
